STX Entertainment a leading, fast-growing entertainment company. We are one of eight companies based in the United States producing, marketing, owning and distributing content at scale in the film industry for global audiences across traditional and digital media platforms. We are backed by many prominent global firms, including TPG Growth, Hony Capital, PCCW Media, Tencent and Liberty Global.
STXdigital is a global creator, producer and marketer of original short-format, talent-driven content for distribution across digital and social platforms. In 2016, STXdigital acquired Surreal, which is a leader in virtual reality content creation, having produced more than 100 immersive experiences. STXsurreal’s work has been nominated for an Emmy Award, and won multiple Shorty Awards.
STXfilms is a global studio that produces, acquires, distributes and markets motion pictures. Its partners include Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, which handles the studio's Blu-ray, DVD, Electronic Sell-Through and TVOD platforms and Showtime, which releases STXfilms content exclusively on Showtime Networks and its multiplex Channels--Showtime®, The Movie Channel® and Flix®--during the premium television window.
STXinternational is a full-service international film distribution and finance company with direct distribution in the UK and Ireland and a network of partners distributing STX content in over 150 territories around the world.
